Image bank - form

Image bank - form:

I have chosen these photos because they show form in a range of different objects found in day to day life. form gives pictures a more 3-D effect and makes things look more realistic.  Form sometimes makes the picture stand out more or sometimes show the main focus of the image more clearer. some of the pictures I have chosen are in there natural settings while others have been set in that way for the picture. form works in both of these types of pictures as the lighting and shadows help to show what the pictures are and to make them look 3-D. also the fact that most of the time the background is blurred out shows how the main focus is on the object or scene that the photo is being taken of.

In these two photos the object that is used is in the middle of the frame so you can clearly see what the photographer is trying to show through form. In the image above the use of tone balances out any colour differences and helps you to see the shadow on the photo. The blurred flowers in the background show the flower in the focus is in its natural setting.  The shadow in this photo is effective as you can see differences in the colours showing the shadows in the different shades in the photo.  In the photo below an object is placed on a dark surface to show the form. In this image you can see that as the light hits the object and the shadow is formed it is bounced onto the black surface which is where you actually see the shadow.

In the image above the dark around the side of the photo is able to create the form in the photo. It provides a shadow in the image which helps to see all of the railings and the steps. The use of form in this photo helps to make the steps and railing look 3D.

The form in this photo bounces off of the wall. In this photo you can side the side that the light is coming from and where it hits the wall to produce the shadow in the bottom right corner. The use of tone in this image helps to enhance this all of this, and to give the bike a 3D effect.

In the images above and below, light is used to clearly show the form of the items photographed. In the image above the light is hitting the bench from the from where a shadow is produced at the back. This is effective because it shows how the bench is 3D.

In the image above the light is clearly coming from the right side to create a shadow in the left side of the frame. The use of colour in this image helps to enhance to light as well as to make the shadow standout even more. The colour also shows the parts of the feet to make the image look 3D and realistic.
